Rob Turner has been studying and playing drums for over 15 years. In 2009 he graduated from the Sydney Conservatorium of Music with a Bachelor of Music, majoring in Jazz Performance. Playing professionally in Sydney for many years, he is currently playing with bands: The Usual Suspects, OXBLVD, The Casey Golden Trio, Big Smoky and Botanics.
Rob has been lucky enough to study with some of the best teachers in Australia and share their knowledge with future students: Gordon Rytmeister, Andrew Dickeson, Toby Hall and Mike Quigley. He has also studied with some of the finest drummers in New York (and possibly the world): Michael Carvin, Kenny Washington, Nasheet Waits and Ferenc Nemeth.
Teaching out of a private studio in North Sydney, all styles of music are covered (including mallet percussion if if required) and beginners up to advanced students are welcome.
